This weekend the largest Asian indoor festival will open its doors. FestivalAsia will have a mixture of Asian foods, exhibitors and performances. You will be spoilt for choice but as the festival is held over a whole weekend you will have the time to sample everything. From Friday to Sunday (15-17 May) get a taste of Indian and Pakistani foods as well as many other Asian culinary dishes.
This is FestivalAsia’s first debut in London and will be the first of its kind. Located at Tobacco Dock, the festival promises to be a great day out for everyone who attends. In the past, Tobacco Dock has hosted popular events and if FestivalAsia is successful it will probably return again next year.
The weekend event will have over 200 exhibitors and performances. There will be a fashion carnival, food courts, stalls, spiritual room and there are two stages. On the Martial Arts Stage you can witness explosive martial arts and on the Performance Stage you can enjoy beautiful dances and theatre.
At FestivalAsia try foods from over 20 Asian countries. At Nawaab London we love having the choice of different foods as we have Indian and Pakistani buffet style catering for our guests.
The Food Court at FestivalAsia has a wide selection of foods available. If you are on a diet, just have a day off so you can at least have a try of the many different foods.
Anyone can go to FestivalAsia. If you’re from an Asian community or you are interested in Asian culture, everyone is welcome.
There is something for everyone. Kids can go to the Kid’s Kingdom area or they can have a go at drumming at the free drumming workshops with Taiko drummers. Many of the workshops are free to get involved in and experiment with instruments, food and other activities.
FestivalAsia promises to be an exciting event. Tickets can be bought online or at the venue.
