Let’s face it, we all love to indulge in some fast food every now and again.
Whether it’s a treat at the weekend or a comfort after a long day at work, sometimes you just can’t beat a greasy burger or a fried chicken leg. In fact, they’ve even got a whole day dedicated to celebrating fast food over in America, and our friends across the pond will be enjoying National Fast Food Day as soon as tomorrow (November 16th).

To put things into perspective for you, it’s estimated that almost £10 billion is spent on takeaways in Britain every year, as Brits continue to queue up for kebabs, burritos, chippy teas and everything else you can imagine.

The real beauty of Indian food is the fact that there’s something for people of all tastes and diets. Whether you’re a vegan that loves spicy food, a meat-eater that enjoys milder dishes or someone hoping to lose a little weight, there’s always something for everyone on an Indian menu.
Unlike with other restaurants, you never have to worry about a member of your party going hungry when you sit down at a curry house. Sizzling starters, hearty mains, and gorgeous desserts, all containing diverse spice blends and a broad range of flavours– what more could you ask for?
Indian cuisine has always been famous for its exotic spice blends, but what many people don’t realise is that a lot of these spices are actually really good for their health.
Turmeric, for example, is believed to ease arthritis symptoms and prevent heartburn, while cardamom is known to improve digestion and reduce bloating. Of course, Indian food also contains a lot of vegetables which carry their own health benefits, while chickpeas have become increasingly popular due to the fantastic nutrients they provide.
Obviously, not everything on an Indian menu should be considered particularly healthy, and you should avoid creamier curries if you’re trying to watch your figure.
Chicken tikka masala has been considered the UK’s national dish for almost 20 years now, so it’s always been fairly obvious that curry is the most popular fast food option out there. Diners all over the country will always have a soft spot for the tikka masala, even if it has been recently overtaken by the korma as the UK’s most popular curry.
Last, but certainly not least, is the unmistakeable taste of Indian food.
You just can’t beat it. The signature spice blends, the sizzling chilies, the thick and creamy sauces; these things all combine to create a menu bursting with flavour and vibrancy. Indian cuisine offers the most diverse palette of tastes, textures and smells available in the UK, while it’s widely considered to be the most exciting cuisine on the planet.
