Alexander McQueen’s Savage Beauty 14 March – 2 August

In 2010, Britain lost one of its genius fashion designers Alexander McQueen.

To celebrate the original vision Alexander McQueen brought to the fashion industry, the Victoria and Albert Museum is holding Europe’s first and largest retrospective exhibition of the late designer’s work.

Spanning his entire career as a fashion designer, the exhibition will examine the designer’s mind. You can see into his romantic vision that promotes freedom of expression and imagination as well as his darker and more gothic styled vision.

The exhibition also portrays Alexander McQueen’s love for his home city of London and how that influenced his work.

Secret Cinema: Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back 4 June – 27 September

It has been eight years since the company was founded and this year it’s returning with a big event. The Secret Cinema will be screening Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back starting on the 4 June. For the thirty-fifth anniversary of the film, it fits in well with this year’s release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in December.

The event will be held at a secret location. The actual details of the event will remain secret until closer to the time.  It has been confirmed that the location will be in London but nothing else is known about it.

However previous viewings have seen the audience immersed in the settings of their favourite films, with their beloved and despised characters appearing before them to create an interactive experience for them.

The Festival of Love  6 June – 31 August

Returning to the Southbank Centre for its second year, the Festival of Love prepares to awaken the light in your heart.

Leading the festival is lovable comedian, Josie Long with a very personal show about love and the outdoors. Don’t miss the comedy play about twins saving their school from a child-eating troll head teacher in Our Teacher is a Troll at the Roundabout Theatre.

Listen to Duke Garwood perform songs off his new album, Heavy Love at the Queen Elizabeth Hall. If you are in the mood for love, then the Festival of Love is the place to be this June.

Trooping the Colour 13 June

Do you want to celebrate the Queen’s official birthday? Join her in watching the Sovereign’s celebration ceremony known as Trooping the Colour.

The Queen’s personal guard, the Household Cavalry will parade around Horse Guards Parade, offering the Royal Salute to her Majesty in an impressive display of pageantry.

The Queen will ride from Buckingham Palace, down The Mall to Horse Guards Parade to watch the spectacle. The Queen will then lead the parade back to Buckingham Palace where she will receive the salute before watching a Royal Air Force fly over with other Royal Family members.

The Wimbledon Championships 29 June – 12 July

Everyone has heard of it and at some point everyone has watched it, whether that be in person or on the television. It’s the world’s oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament and it’s played every June.

The Wimbledon Championship was founded in 1877 at The All England Club in Wimbledon. It remains the only tennis major that is still played on grass.

Here is an opportunity to watch the World’s greatest tennis players go head to head for the most prestigious title in tennis.
