What’s On In Manchester 2017 Part Two

13/02/2017

The main focus at Nawaab is to entertain whilst simultaneously wining and dining our customers with the best service possible. We love to entertain our guests with authentic Indian cuisine- however, sometimes the best entertainment around is within the area we are based – Manchester! In our first blog of this series, we looked at what is going on in Manchester during the first half of the year. In this part, we’re going to be focusing on the second half of 2017…

Pride, 26th-29th August

Whether Manchester admits it or not, a summary of the events to expect in 2017 wouldn’t be complete without the Pride Big Weekend. During this weekend, thousands of people flock to the city to celebrate diversity and equality. Not only this, the fundraising efforts are impressive, with almost £150K raised last year for many LGBT and HIV charities.

Manchester Science Festival, 19th-29th October

The MSF is the largest festival of its kind within England and is curated by the Museum of Science and Industry. Last year, it comprised of over 150 experiences, including robot orchestras and a sleep lab in the Arndale. If you’re into science, this is definitely the place to be in October.

Christmas Markets, November-December

We admit, this one is cliché- however Manchester would not be complete without the Christmas Markets! The event is set to enter its second decade and includes 350 different traders offering different kinds of produce and food spread out over 10 different sites. The local economy generates millions and it’s certainly a fun day out for the family!

We’re only in February of 2017, so there’s plenty of room for new events to pop up! If you’re in the area, make sure to check out the best Indian restaurant Manchester has to offer! We may not have spectacular festivals, however we do know how to entertain!
