With over 130,000 visitors attracted to last year’s event the Bolton Food and Drink Festival is definitely not to be missed from your calendar this year.Taking place from 22nd August – 25th August Bank Holiday Weekend 2014 there will be a number of celebrity chefs, cooking demonstrations, speciality markets, live music and entertainment along with some good old family fun!
The Bolton Food and Drink Festival, now in its 9th year will be a celebration of the best of local and regional produce with traders coming in from far and wide. Tickets for the event will go on sale in June and more detailed information concerning celebrity chef demos will be released alongside these tickets.
TV Masterchef Judge John Torode will be joined by an all-star line-up including everyone’s favourite Italian chef Gino D’Acampo, Great British Menu and ABode’s Executive Chef Michael Caines and Saturday Kitchen presenter and Manchester235 overseer James Martin. In a twist to the usual setup of the Bolton Food Festival John Torode will not only be hosting a cooking demo but will actually be judging a cook-off between top regional chefs in the area.
The Leader of Bolton Council, Councillor Cliff Morris, said: “Bolton Food and Drink Festival is without doubt one of the best food festivals in the UK, and it just gets better and better every year.”
So book it in your diary for the August Bank Holiday Weekend and make sure you are at Bolton’s Food and Drink Festival.
The event is organised by Bolton Council and sponsored by Bluemantle, Stateside Foods and Market Place Shopping Centre. Partners this year include Bolton Market, Kro Bar, Marriott and The Octagon Theatre.
