Top Manchester Events in March

It’s March, the weather cannot decide whether it’s winter or spring but we’re still busy at Royal Nawaab Manchester.

Curries are cooking and we are popping poppadoms onto side dishes.

There are a number of events appearing in Manchester during March 2015.

Here is a list of top Manchester events. This month, there are International Women’s Day events, the Irish festival and many activity expos to visit before the summer weather arrives.

Digital Teapot 2015 #WomenBreakingThrough

On Thursday 12 March is the Digital Teapot hosted by the Sharp Project. This event is free and held to celebrate and correspond with International Women’s Day.

The theme is ‘Breaking Through Barriers’ and the event hopes to inspire women and provide more information about careers in the creative sector.

This is a chance to network over tea and cake, learn more information and take part in digital workshops.

International Women’s Day Celebration

On Thursday 12 March between 2pm-4pm, there will be a celebration of international women.

The International Woman’s Day Celebration will be hosted at the Indian Senior Citizens Centre, inspirational women talk about their careers and their experiences.

Languages will be translated into Hindi and Gujarati. This is a great opportunity to network and meet new people as well as listen to some interesting stories.

Manchester’s Irish Festival 5 March – 17 March

Beginning with the Irish Festival Parade on the 5 March, there are over ten days of Irish foods and entertainment. In the Albert Square, you will find all your favourite Irish dishes and drinks at Flanagan’s Irish Coffee House and the Manchester Irish Festival Food Company.

Eat your fill and be ready for St. Patrick’s Day on 17 March.

Bike Expo, Tri Expo, Run Expo, Swim Expo 20 March – 22 March

Here is a lot of expo: you will be spoilt for choice. After the previous years of success with the Bike and Tri Expos, it has been decided EventCity will also host Run Expo and Swim Expo to coincide and create a great event. For visitors, this gives you the opportunity to try different areas.

Celebrity biker, Nickelodeon’s Mattie Hemmings and legend Rob Hayles can be found in the Bike Expo. Star runners, like Steve Cram and Jo Pavey, will attend the Run Expo. At the Swim Expo, top stars like Olympic Swimmer Rebecca Adlington and legendary swimmer Mark Foster will be making a splash. This event will reveal all the up-to-date technology and gear available in these incredible sports. This is a great chance to see four amazing sports. Check it out, try a new sport and get into shape for 2015.

The Manchester Bike Show 28 March-29 March

At EventCity, the Manchester Bike show will be returning for its’ fourth consecutive year. There will be over 1,000 motorbikes on display and there will be showcases by leading motorbike manufacturers like Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki and many more. There will be a live stage where stunt drivers will be showing off their skills.

Northern Angling Show 28 March – 29 March

Fishers, grab your fishing poles and get to the Northern Angling Show. There is a great line of exhibitors on show to share the latest fishing gear. Both days are filled with stage events and demonstrations hosted by people in the fishing industry. This is a fun weekend for professional fishers and starters at the sport.
