November 17, 2016
We’re only a couple of weeks into November, and the weather has already gotten an awful lot colder. The winds are getting stronger and the rain is really starting to turn icy, causing many of us to wrap up in a ridiculous amount of layers every time we leave the house. It’s this time of year where many of us feel tempted to stay indoors as much as we can, cuddling up on the sofa with a mug of hot chocolate as we wait for the winter to end.
However, when you live in or visit a vibrant city like London, you can’t let the cold weather stop you from heading outside and making the most of the location. London is filled with things to do, and you need to get out there this winter and experience them, rather than hiding away from the cold for the next few months.
We’re here at Nawaab to give you a brief rundown of what’s going on in London this November, so that you don’t have to miss a thing.
1) Check Out The Christmas Lights
London is famous for its sparkling Christmas lights, and you’ll be pleased to know that you’re able to go and check them out this month. If you want to see lit up magical stars, glittering baubles and maybe grab a bag of roasted chestnuts, then you need to head out into the city centre and take a look around. Popular districts like Oxford Street, Regent Street and Covent Garden are already lit up ready for Christmas, each with their own unique display designed to get you into the Christmas spirit!
2) Winter Wonderland
Sticking with the festive season, London plays host to an enormous Christmas event in Hyde Park every year- and it opens on November 18th in 2016. Winter Wonderland is a fantastic spectacle that offers incredible Christmas-themed fun, ice skating and an enormous wheel. This is guaranteed to be fun for the whole family- with excellent shows, a Magical Ice kingdom and traditional Christmas markets. Winter Wonderland is sure to be a lot of fun this year for anyone wanting to celebrate the festive season in style.
3) NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters
If you’re after something a bit different this November and don’t really fancy any of the Christmassy events, then why not take a look at the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park at the end of the month? The event will feature the top 8 men’s and women’s wheelchair tennis players, and is perfect for anyone wanting to take in some world class sport. The competition takes place from 30th November to 4th December 2016.
